salvation man is a cup of fire

Well, hello there! Welcome to rhapsodos.org also (sometimes) called the red leather organzation, center of Larissa's video game sites. You are currently viewing version two of the collective, featuring Warrior of Light from Dissidia: Final Fantasy. Everything's been condensed to one page for this layout, so you can skip ahead using the links above or just scroll down. Enjoy your stay!

Domain

rhapsodos.org is named for Genesis Rhapsodos of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, mostly because when I decided I wanted to get a Final Fantasy-inspired name for my video game collective, his name was the best idea I had. That and I'm rather fond of him, even if I do laugh at him a lot. The domain's secondary network name is the red leather organization because it fits and sounds ridiculous. One of these days I'm going to just call this place the RLO and try to pass it off as an actual military unit. Well, no, not really, but that'd be fun >D

The current layout, the second one to grace the domain, features my own fanart of my favorite character from Dissidia, Warrior of Light. I wanted to do something for the domain layout to promote Shape the Future, so I went with doing my own fanart. For a first try at drawing armor, I think it came out pretty well. The version title, "Shades of Light," comes from how I had to find a million shades to color him :| Textures used are from resugere.

Whenever I make a video game site, I put it here on rhapsodos.org. Most of the time these are shrines and fanlistings, but more recently I've branched out into making sub-collectives. Hopefully something here will catch your interest!

Shrines

bittersweet lovea fanlisting and shrine to Diego & Mia (complete)
I fell in love with Diego the second he appeared and started going on about coffee, but it was his relationship with Mia that sealed it. Theirs was a relationship unlike most in the Ace Attorney series, and I wanted to do something for it. It started with a fanlisting, but now it's a full dedication to them I'm proud of, so do enjoy it. There are still a couple of humor pages that need to be finished, and should be soon.

Light of Judgmenta fanlisting and shrine to Kefka Palazzo (complete)
Kefka Palazzo is my favorite Final Fantasy villain and probably my favorite video game villain of all time. I am fascinated by his insanity, his makeup, and I love that he actually manages to follow through on that whole taking over the world thing. After two years of it being half-done, I've finally finished all sections of the site. I plan on adding another essay in the future, along with details concerning his appearance in Dissidia. Enjoy!

Never Stop Dreaminga shrine to Mystina (complete)
Mystina is a character who's intrigued me since the first time I played Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. She's stubborn, brilliant, narcissistic, wants all the knowledge in the world, and yet is disinterested with reality and would prefer to never stop dreaming. Such a character deserved a shrine, and this is the result. Made as part of the Girl Mode challenge, this site will have media in the future but is otherwise complete.

Sub-Collectives

Shape the Futurea tribute to Dissidia: Final Fantasy (complete)
When I got Dissidia, I was expecting to enjoy it; what I wasn't expecting was how utterly addicting it is and how much fun I'd have playing it, even if I hardly understood it in Japanese. This site was born out of that: it's a personal dedication that focuses on my own opinions about the game instead of a proper informational fansite. I had much more fun doing it this way :D It also features an extensive screencap gallery and a lot of concept art. I plan on updating the game section after I've had a chance to play the English version of the game.

A few more sites make up my Dissidia collective: a fanlisting for the OST, a a clique to claim a character from the game, and a webring for all Dissidia-related sites.

Rare Candya Pokémon fansite/fanlisting (work in progress)
Ever since I first got Pokémon Red in 1997, I've been a huge fan of the games, spending hundreds of hours trying to catch 'em all. This site, which currently has only a few content pages, will be both informative and opinionated. For now, you can add your name to the fanlisting and play around with the styleswitcher.

Dragonair Scyther

I also own two fanlistings for some of my favorite Pokémon. I'd like to expand this sub-collective in the future with a tribute to Fire-type Pokémon.

Musica Machinaa video game music collective
I have a thing for video game music. Much as I love singers and bands, I'm just as happy to spend hours on end listening to video game soundtracks. It sweeps me away back into the game, compressing memories of hours upon hours of gameplay into a single soundtrack. Musica Machina is at present just a place to hold my video game music fanlistings, but I'll likely turn it into a place to ramble about video game music eventually.

Fanlistings

I also have a number of unorganized game-related fanlistings. Most of these still need to be moved to this domain; my procrastination has to do with my desire to revamp them when I move them. For the time being, feel free to visit them (and join if you're a fan!). Organized... somewhat alphabetically by fandom (hey, I never said it made sense).

The links below are my favorite video game tributes on the web, though they're just a sample of dozens more amazing shrines. I highly recommend you give them a visit. ♥
